He speaks Spanish, French, English, and Nepali, is taking far too long to learn Danish, and is the proud father of two baby vikings.

Luis Parada MarciLLA

Raised in Buenos Aires, Luis graduated in International Commerce at UCA before moving to Mexico, to develop the emerging city of Playa del Carmen, where he became a pioneer in urban and commercial development. With his construction company in Quintana Roo, he became interested in sustainable living and ecological construction, and began developing self-sufficient cottages in Tulum beach, in Morelos (Tepoztlan) and in the jungle (Los Laureles). In 2006 Luis moved back to Argentina to develop a new organic eco-farm in Patagonia, planting Lavender, and building eco-cottages for self-sufficient living, using traditional Indigenous methods. Today the farm is a thriving centre for sustainable living, with workshops in permaculture and bio-construction in co-operation with local Mapuche communities. Luis’ passion is to generate new ideas for sustainable living, to help create a world where we can all live and prosper in harmony. A father of two beautiful girls, he is fluent in Spanish, English and Portuguese.
