Dr. Gustavo Viniegra González

One of the worlds most famous biotechnologists, and probably the best known scientist in Mexico, Gustavo has been a leading biotechnologist and biochemist for nearly five decades. 

He brings enormous multi-disciplinary knowledge and experience - and helps maintain the focus of our dispersed and scientific teams on KamaNutra’s central goals. He's also senior-advisor for the Bichos Para Mejorar la Vida project.

Dr Guillermo Cabrera Walsh

President of FUEDEI - Fundación para el estudio de especies invasivas - Dr "Willie" Walsh is a world reknowned expert on invasive species and biological control. A life long lover of bugs, Entomology was a calling from the very beginning. He’s been President, Chief Scientist, and Director of Fuedei since 2015, and enjoys life most on the occasions he’s still able to get out into the field.

DR Belén Jiménez-Mena

Belén is a brilliant young geneticist focusing on species conservation - using methods from population genetics, molecular evolution and computational genomics.

She has a Master’s in Conservation Biology from Universidad Complutense de Madrid (UCM), and an Erasmus-Mundus joint-PhD (“European Graduate School in Animal Breeding and Genetics”), at Aarhus University, AgroParisTech and INRA (Institute National de la Recherche Agronomique).

DR JOSE LUIS PARADA

With a triple doctorate in Pharmacology, Microbiology and Biochecmistry, Jose Luis has spent a long and distinguished scientific career uncovering a huge array of biotechnological processes and now holds a string of patents.

A member of the American Association for Advanced Science, and the New York Academy of Science, Jose Luis was Chief of Research and Development at Pfizer and Mendicrim (Microbial Genetics Laboratory). Previously he was Director of the National Agriculture Technology Institute (INTA) in Argentina and Projects Chief at CONICET, Argentina. Jose Luis was also Chief Microbiology Professor at UBA, Mexico and Lujan University, Argentina, a senior researcher at MIT and for much of his career has cooperated with OEA in Mexico and ORSTOM ( Institute Francais de Recherche) in Montpellier France. He lives in Buenos Aires and is a proud father and grandfather.

 

Neil Freebairn

Neil spent the first twenty years of his career as a business consultant, to for-profit companies and not-for-profit organisations, from Fortune 100 to lifestyle businesses, and as an inventor–entrepreneur of a blueprint for the future of telecommunications.

He plans to spend the next twenty years collaborating on the creation of a science like methodology for human transformation. His academic background is philosophy and psychology (University of Oxford) and maths, statistics and computation (University of Bath, unfinished). He lives in North London with his partner, three children and a dog
